THANK YOU for having donated to support the children affected by Typhoon Tisoy (Kammuri).
Thanks to you, Save the Children Philippines was one of the first humanitarian organizations to provide support to those affected by the storm. We reached more than 3,400 persons affected by the storm, 1,267 of which are children, in the provinces of Sorsogon and Northern Samar.
We helped displaced families by providing plastic tarpaulins that could serve as emergency shelters; family hygiene kits to stave off diseases; and water kits to ensure proper hydration. We also provided psychosocial support to distressed children as well as play and art activities to allow them to continue to enjoy childhood despite the depredations of the storm.
Save the Children Philippines is now closing our response to Typhoon Tisoy (Kammuri).
We hope you will support our ongoing humanitarian operations in response to the earthquakes in Mindanao and to the eruption of Taal Volcano.
